"The Easy WSOP Seat"
It's that time of year again and all of the WSOP qualifiers have just started. you have a myriad of options from small buyin to large. We currently like the following offers by bankroll:
Phase I: $100-200 Bankroll
- With a starter bankroll like this, you really don't quite have enough yet to play some of the juicier tournaments, and the smaller qualifiers usually have too big of a field and too few seats to make it worth your time.
- We suggest playing in some of the freerolls put on by us at Carbon Poker, Absolute Poker or Bodog.com for our readers to get your bankroll to $200.
- Once you have $200, we encourage you to exchange those dollars for W$ on pokerstars. You can do this by exchanging $ for W$ using the Pokerstars client.
Phase II: $200-1000 Bankroll
- For qualifying in the Pokerstars tournments, we have found that the daily $27 rebuy EPT-Monte Carlo tournaments at 14:15 EST and 16:00 EST are very soft and a great way to build up your W$. If you don't mind turbos, then there are also $27 rebuy WSOP qualifiers at 13:30 EST daily. I would enter these repeatedly until you have at least W$1000. This will allow you to "take a shot" at one of the W$500+ gateway tournaments from phase III, but will still allow you enough to drop back to phase II and rebuild.
Phase III: $1000-5000 Bankroll
- PokerStars $650 WSOP Main Event Qualifier Sundays 18:00 EST, can use W$
- PokerStars $650 WSOP Main Event Qualifier Saturdays 14:30 EST, can use W$
- PokerStars $1050 EPT-Monte Carlo Qualifier, Saturdays 15:00 EST, can use W$
- Bodog $270 WSOP Main Event Qualifier, Tuesday, Thursday 21:15 EST, Saturday, Sunday 15:15 EST
