Grind, Grind, Grind.

Well, I noticed I hadn’t updated my blog since the APPT trip so I figured it was overdue. I have been playing a bunch of poker over the last 2 months, in particular qualifiers on PokerStars into the EPT Monte Carlo. The $109s they have every day are pretty soft and I am amazed at some of the silly plays I see folks make around the satellite bubble. By recycling the W$ that I win, I have been able to win 5 entries into the $1050 Monte Carlo satellite with about $1600 in entry fees. I came really close in one of the satellites but made a horrible call with 20 players left and 11 seats given that knocked me out. I will be playing in my 5th $1050 tourney tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to make something happen.

I have also been playing a decent amount of cash on Carbon Poker, mainly 1-2 and 2-4. During January, I only played about 6K hands and more or less broke even. I rebounded in February with almost 12K hands and had a decent profit of about $5K or so. I am really trying to push out some hands in March and have already booked 4K hands in the 1st 6 days. I know this isn’t a lot by 2+2 standards, but I usually only play a maximum of 4 tables since I still feel like I am developing my game and would rather focus on making the right play or experimenting with lines instead of just going on autopilot like I used to with SNGs.

I will try to update my blog more often and include some interesting hands when I can.

‘Til next time
